We hope you and your families are well and staying healthy. These are challenging times indeed, but we KNOW in OHIO as in our NATION we find Strength in COMING TOGETHER! We are learning daily that when the kindness, strength and resiliency of our human spirit, our cultures and unique perspectives come together, it can lead to inspired solutions! We are seeing it unfold right before our eyes, as we learn to find new creative ways to address needs in a new “Norm.” I am confident that our Hispanic /Latino Community will continue to address the health, employment, and immigration concerns in our community. Stay informed, act responsibly and we’ll get through this stronger.

As an educator, I am proud to be a part of the over 91 years LULAC has been serving our Hispanic/Latino communities and making a positive social and economic difference in our Country! Our motto, “All for One – One for ALL!” is exemplified in the story of The national “Head Start Program”, which began as LULAC’s pilot pre-school program called, “The Little School of 400”. Launched in 1957 to help bridge the language gap and prepare Hispanic/Latino, pre-school children entering US schools. The results were so impressive it later became the model introduced by President Johnson, as “Project Head Start. President Johnson, as a young man in Texas was a teacher in the “Little School of 400” program. Let us continue the legacy of WORKING TOGETHER!!!!

Learn more about LULAC’s local and national educational scholarship programs currently underway thru Apr.30 at LULAC.org, as well as, leadership opportunities through LULAC and our community partners. All for One- One for All…Somos LULAC!
